Payment Options
Residential customers of Allied Waste Services may pay their bill in the following ways:

- To pay your bill by credit card or checking account, click here or call toll free at (916) 638-9000 or locally at (916) 725-9060.
- Automatic bill pay by checking account or credit card. Call us today for enrollment forms.
Instructions on Exchanging and Ordering an Extra Cart:
Residents may change the size and/or the number of carts once per year at no additional charge. Each household may have one extra recycle cart or one extra green waste cart, amounting to a maximum of four total carts at no additional charge. Any additional carts will be charged extra. Monthly fees are determined by trash cart size. Call our customer service department toll free at (916) 638-9000 or locally at (916) 725-9060 for rates related to changes of cart services.

Cart Service
Placement Directions for All Carts:
Leave at least three (3) feet of space between your carts and other objects such as mailboxes. Place carts (6) feet away from vehicles and large objects.
Trash: Brown cart is serviced weekly
All materials must fit in cart with lid fully closed.
Examples of acceptable household trash items:
- Clothing or cotton
- Contaminated paper items
- Hoses
- Light bulbs (incandescent only, no fluorescent lamps or tubes)
- Packing peanuts (place in plastic bag and tie shut)
- Plastic bubble or wrap
- Waxed paper
- Windows, non-recyclable glass, ceramics
Recycling: Blue cart is serviced bi-weekly
All materials must fit in cart with lid fully closed.
Examples of acceptable recyclable items:
- All plastic containers with chasing arrows recycle symbols #1-#7
- All glass bottles and jars
- Aluminum cans and foil
- Chipboard such as cereal and tissue boxes
- Corrugated cardboard
- Mixed paper such as magazines, junk mail, office paper, computer paper, catalogs, paperboard, phone books, paper grocery bags, paper egg cartons, envelopes, legal pad backing
- Newspaper
- Plastic bags must be put in one bag and tied shut
- Small scrap metal (no metal clothes hangers)
- Steel and tin cans

Green Waste: Green cart is serviced bi-weekly
All materials must fit in cart with lid fully closed.
Examples of green waste items:
- All grass cuttings
- Bedding straw clippings
- Branches
- Dead plants, prunings, brush and tree trimmings
- Leaves and weeds
- Unpainted wood and wallboard
Unacceptable items:
- Animal waste
- Branches and limbs that exceed 3 feet in length
- Tree stumps
- Dirt, sod, rocks and concrete
- Plastic bags and flower pots
- Treated and painted wood pieces
